I got a two for one deal so I watched it for free. Never would I pay for it like so many others DIDN'T as well!
THE CON: ABSOLUTELY NO FOOTAGE OF DRS. CARRICO AND PERRY AT THE PARKLAND HOSPITAL PRESSER THAT DISTINGUISHES THE THROAT WOUND AS A WOUND OF ENTRANCE ~ WHERE THE ENTIRE CONSPIRACY COVERUP BEGINS WITH THE MEDICAL EVIDENCE!
The PROS: The physical fight at Parkland for the body of JFK. It was portrayed with a great deal of accuracy except for the secret service drawing their weapons! DRAWING THEIR WEAPONS! NOT IN A MOVIE FOR A DRAMATIC THRILLER?! Thanks Tom Hanks you apologist!
The PROS & CONS: The portrayal of Oswald's mother, Marguerite Oswald, is excellent. No wonder LHO was a basket case to be manipulated at will. THE CON: The movie made her the face of assassination conspiracy theories when it was shown in the movie at the end of her claiming that LHO was "an agent of the government and that he did not assassinate JFK" a connotation of her words by me.
The PROS: Nurse Doris Nelson portrayed by Marcia Gay Harden was fantastic. I do not think that Jackie handed her JFK's brain in reality, but Harden showed the compassion of the doctors and especially the nurses at Parkland Hospital that day. Harden also showed that JFK was wrapped with gauze bandages before the coffin was closed at Parkland and Doug Horne writes a tremendous expose on how the body of JFK mysteriously ended up in a "zipper bag" at Bethesda on its circuitous route to the autopsy table at Bethesda.

The PROS: The "1963" cinematography, props and scenes authentics. It puts you there in the Sixties with old typewriters, cameras, wardrobes and dress culture and people behavior.
The PROS: Coroner Earl Rose played by Rory Cochrane was tremendous as he tried to keep the body in Texas for a "legitimate autopsy"!
The PROS: The Priest, Reporters and African American workers at LHO's gravesite showing their "humanity" in assisting Robert Oswald carrying the casket to the grave and filling in the grave with dirt. It is a decency we could all take a lesson from here.
The PROS: The portrayl of Jackie Kennedy was dignified and classy. Especially the cut aways to the actual footage of her in the days during and after the assassination to the funeral.
The CONS: Sorrels asking for a confession from Oswald as he lay dying on the table. NO DR. CRENSHAW who took the call from LBJ?
The CONS: The obvious missing frames that were not shown of the Zapruder Film in the movie.
The CONS: Oswald talking to his brother at Dallas Police HQ. Did he say he was innocent? How about just one showing of "I'm just a patsy!" comment by Oswald at the presser conclusion I believe.
